New England’s Knowledge Corridor, extending from New Haven, Connecticut up through central Massachusetts, is a region linked by shared resources and infrastructure.
As the name suggests, the hallmark of the region is a wealth of educational institutions. These colleges and universities, including Yale University, the University of Connecticut, the University of Massachusetts, as well as many others, provide a pipeline of highly skilled workers for employers in the region. The Knowledge Corridor is also significant in its size, boasting the 2nd largest market in all of New England and the nation’s 20th largest market by population.
The interstate region is home to:
- Nearly 2.9 million people;

The Knowledge Corridor enjoys easy connectivity throughout the region and with the rest of the world through I-91, CTrail Hartford Line, and Bradley International Airport. Some of these companies include Stanley Black & Decker, ESPN, MassMutual, The Hartford, Colt, SS&C, Aetna, CRRC MA, LEGO, UnitedHealth Group, Cigna, Raytheon, Smith & Wesson, Voya, and Travelers.
